This cookbook focuses on Dutch oven & camp cooking, & is spiced with humorous & informative stories of Mr. Welch’s experiences cooking in the backcountry of Idaho. It includes the basics of history, selection, & care of Dutch ovens along with many recipes that a beginning Dutch oven cook, as well as a more experienced cook, will be able to master. There is also a section on sourdough cooking. The objective is to prepare easy, healthy, & delicious meals outdoors. Recipes from this cookbook are used on Cee Dub’s Public Television Series, Dutch Oven & Camp Cooking.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
C.W. “Butch” Welch aka “Cee Dub”, a native Idahoan, is a Conservation Officer with the Idaho Department of Fish & Game. A twenty plus year veteran of the IDF&G, he’s served at various duty stations around the state. The Shikar Safari Club International recognized Welch as the “Wildlife Officer of the Year” in 1994, for meritorious service in the field of wildlife conservation and law enforcement. His stories come from his years in the back country, both in the line of duty as well as in the “line of fun”!
