About This Book
Overview

Did you know? Cutthroat Trout get their name from a red streak on both sides under the lower jaw. Their species name is for William Clark of the Lewis & Clark expedition. They’re spotted from head to tail, although the spots vary in size and density on different fish. They lightened up in saltwater and darken in freshwater. Some cutthroat mature in the sea and return to native streams to spawn, while others live and breed in freshwater. All can spawn several times over. They’re a popular sport fish from south-eastern Alaska to northern California.
