ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
James A. Swan, Ph.D.
is the author of six popular books published on three continents including: Nature as Teacher and Healer (Villard, 1992), named “One of the Best Environmental Books of the Last Five Years” in 1994 and Sacred Places (Bear & Co., 1990, Book of the Month Club selection). He has taught natural resources and psychology at the Universities of Michigan, W. Wash. State, Oregon & Washington, and been a featured guest on the “Donahue”, and “Good Morning, America” television shows. As an actor he can be seen in the recent feature films “Star Trek: First Contact”, and “Murder in the First.” Dr. Swan also does a weekly commentary on the nationall-syndicated outdoor sports radio show, The Spirit of the Sport, heard in 14 states.
