Overview

A collection of the author’s best work, the fly fishing and wingshooting paintings which have established Bob White as a classic sporting artist of the highest caliber. The collection includes 200 images in oil, watercolor, pencil, and ink of fresh and saltwater fly fishing, upland and waterfowl hunting, game fish and birds, sporting dogs in field and portrait, and landscapes from Alaska to Patagonia and points between. Along with the art pieces are annotated descriptions explaining the inspiration, history, and location of the works, and occasional sidebars. Introductions by John Gierach and Don Thomas lead into the fishing and wingshooting sections, respectively, and the foreword is by Tom Rosenbauer.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Bob White
began painting at age eight and has painted continuously since. He has contributed artwork and essays to more than thirty books and been published in every outdoor sporting magazine of merit. Among his many credits and accomplishments, he was inducted into the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame as Legendary Artist in 2009, was Fly Rod & Reel’s Guide of the Year in 1988, and is featured as guide and artist on ESPN’s Fly Fishing the World and Fly Fishing America. He lives in Marine on St. Croix, Minnesota.
